In a surprising collaboration that challenges traditional expectations, Ubisoft has unveiled an virtual crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, including complimentary additional story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Questline Disclosed

According to the authorized statement, "A strange confrontation leads heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh adventure, where rumors of prohibited rituals and fearsome transformations echo through the darkness." The narrative presents a "strangely garbed woman named Ada" who tasks the pair with journeying into the Crystalline Cavern—a key location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her ally from a clandestine cult.

The questline concentrates on "bizarre tests and a terrifying foe" and is accessible to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Familiar Places and Changes

The preview highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was previously where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The preview finishes with a dramatic moment showing a character, likely the prisoner, morphing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Prizes and Additional Material

Players who successfully complete the quest will receive an exclusive katana alongside multiple objects hidden throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also contains premium Attack on Titan item packs, including:

• Mikasa costume for Naoe

This release also adds the game's third no-cost story content, titled "A Puzzlement." This playful quest partners Naoe and Yasuke as they swap signature abilities: Naoe reveals a dramatic version of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke learns subduing stealth takedowns. True to its name, "The Mystery" also features a new environmental puzzle that may ultimately clarify some unanswered questions from the main storyline.
